The Greater Adirondack Film Commission works in concert with the NYS Governor’s Office of Motion Picture & Television Development to offer a 40% Tax Incentive Program for qualified Up-state productions over $500,000. This generous program covers both above-the-line and below-the-line postproduction expenditures.
This tax incentive program, when paired with the Adirondack’s unique beauty, are the principal factors cited by productions when deciding to film and produce in New York State.
The New York State Film Tax Credit Program is very robust and managed by an experienced team at the Empire State Development Corporation.
