Lake Placid Region
Of course, attending the Festival is your first order of business but it doesn’t all have to be the silver screen, seminars and receptions. Try and set some time aside to explore the beauty offered by this authentic mountain town set in the magnificent Adirondack Mountains.

Lake Placid is a very walkable village with a variety of things to do, both inside and outside. Park your car for the weekend and then move easily from one film venue to the next… from the Palace Theater in the town center to the Lake Placid Center for the Arts – less than a mile away. The fresh autumn air awaits…. Check here for other events happening in the area.
